Rest In Peace Officer Capoot

My heart is breaking for the family of 19 year police veteran of Vallejo PD, Officer Jim Capoot. He was gunned down and shot in the back multiple times while pursuing bank robbery suspects.  He leaves behind a wife and three daughters.  I ache for them. On the news last night they kept showing the flag draped casket leaving the hospital surrounded by the somber officers with empty expressions as they treated their fallen brother's remains with care and dignity.

Thank you Sir, for your service and your sacrifice.  God bless your family.

The full story is located here.

  1. That is so sad. I always make sure I have my kids wave and smile at policemen that our near our car, or that we may be walking near. If they are close enough I roll down my window and thank them.

It's getting to the point where some areas of our country are just as dangerous as Afghanistan, and we need to make sure we appreciate them and let them know so.

My heart goes out to his family. I was just at the exact bank the day before this happened.

  2. So hard to hear things like this. May God watch over all our Police Officers!

  3. This is just heartbreaking.

  4. Rest in Peace Brother. Prayers for his family both blood and blue. Job well done, we have the watch from here
